ALABA – Successful as an Athlete and Sire
The Arpeggio son ALABA is highly successful in both sport and breeding – with seven licensed sons to date.
His offspring consistently prove their quality with victories and placements up to S***-level show jumping competitions. One outstanding example is Abou-Chaker NRW, who became the 2022 Westphalian Champion for five-year-old show jumpers under Katrin Eckermann. The following year, he won bronze at the Bundeschampionat for six-year-olds with Christopher Kläsener and secured fourth place in the 2024 final for seven-year-olds under Sophie Hinners.
The expressive chestnut stallion – like his sire – was bred by Otmar Eckermann from Kranenburg and is owned by Pegase Equestrian BV.
Sporting Success at the Highest Level
ALABA is a powerful and talented show jumper who has already achieved great success up to S* level under Stefanie Reining. He is currently being further developed by Marc Impelmann.
From the very beginning, ALABA has been a guarantee for success:
- 2017: Winner of the small final at the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old show jumpers and 4th place in the final
- 2019: First S* victory with a score of 8.6 in a style S* competition in Riesenbeck
- By early 2025: 65 victories and placements up to S*** level
ALABA is a prime example of a consistently successful high-level athlete.

Arpeggio is one of the most influential sires in show jumping, with:
- 19 licensed sons
- 1,062 offspring in breeding and sport
His dam, Perle, traces back through Power to the legendary Westphalian show jumping sire, Pilot.

- Victorious up to M level under Otmar Eckermann
- Dam of Cassini Boy Junior, who achieved top placements up to S level
Given these accomplishments, it was only natural that Otmar Eckermann also used his proven mare Cenja in breeding – resulting in ALABA as a truly exceptional success!
