Rhineland · gray · 2012 · Height: 173 cm

Description

The son of Arpeggio, ALABA, is highly successful as an athlete and a breeder, having produced four approved sons to date. ALABA’s offspring excel with victories and placements up to class S* show jumping competitions – including Abou-Chaker, with Katrin Eckermann Westphalian champion of 5-year-old show jumpers in 2022 and bronze medal winner at the Bundeschampionat 2023 (6-year-olds) under the saddle of Christopher Kläsener. The chestnut stallion, like his father, was bred by Otmar Eckermann from Kranenburg. ALABA is owned by Stefanie and Barbara Reining from Bedburg-Hau, and this powerhouse of jumping talent is highly successful in jumping up to S*** under the saddle of Stefanie Reining. From the beginning of his sporting career, the pair has been successful on the course. In 2017, Alaba won the small final at the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old show jumpers and subsequently placed fourth in the final. In 2018, the stylish grey became a serial winner in show jumping competitions of class M* and M** with scores up to 9.2. Furthermore, the successful pair won all five qualifications for the Bundeschampionat they started in 2018, four times with a score of 9.0. In his first international start at CSI* 2018 in Peelbergen, he remained clear in all rounds and placed sixth in the Grand Prix (CSI* over 1.35 m). In 2019, the Arpeggio son was nationally highly placed in class S* show jumping competitions and achieved his first S* victory (score 8.6) in a style S* competition in Riesenbeck. Since 2020, many more placements have been added, including fourth place in the German Amateur Championship in Münster. Also, in 2023, the successful pair was again excellently on the go up to S***.

ALABA’s father, Arpeggio, is a top sire among show jumping stallions and boasts 17 approved stallions and 36 state premium mares and premium mares. The son of Acord II has 909 sport offspring – among them are 142 horses successful in S-level show jumping included in his record with an offspring lifetime earnings of over 2.1 million euros. Arpeggio’s mother, Perle, traces back to the Westphalian show jumping breeding legend Pilot through Power. ALABA’s mother is Cenja. She was victorious up to class M** show jumping competitions – among others under the saddle of Otmar Eckermann, who was also successful with Cenja’s son Cassini Boy Junior, achieving numerous high placements in class S*. Given the success, it’s not surprising that Otmar Eckermann also used Cenja in breeding, and the pairing with Arpeggio resulted in ALABA being a real hit! Cassini Boy Junior is a son of Cassini II: Prime Holsteiner show jumping blood! ALABA’s maternal grandmother, Nena (sport name Ninya), was internationally successful in show jumping up to 1.50 m. She is a daughter of the KWPN stallion Numero Uno. He was victorious under Marco Kutscher in show jumping up to class S***** and is also a top sire with 25 approved stallions, 15 state premium mares and premium mares, 799 registered sport offspring (164 in S-level show jumping) and offspring lifetime earnings of more than two million euros.

ALABA: From the beginning of his sporting career, he delivers top results – and as a breeder, he has long proven that he is something very special.
