Description

COOL Touch is a promising four-year-old with an outstanding pedigree – and what he has already achieved at the start of 2025 is impeccable. He won his first competition at the end of January in a novice class show jumping test for young horses under the saddle of Hendrik Dowe, after which the highly talented youngster was the best in the short jumping test in Vechta with a final score of 8.69. The four-year-old Conthalou son out of a dam by United Touch S received a 9.0 for rideability, 8.80 for jumping ability and 8.70 for willingness to perform.
His dam is the Verband premium mare Unicor. As a five-year-old, she was a finalist in the Bundeschampionat final, where she took 9th place with scores of 8.9 and 8.8. She was subsequently sold at Holger Hetzel’s auction and is now stabled by Alain Jufer in Switzerland. She continues to be trained there and is already highly placed internationally as an 8-year-old.
The dam’s full brother, named ‘Unglaublich’, took 3rd place in the final of Hetzel’s Youngster Champion in 2023 as a five-year-old. He was a Bundeschampionat finalist with Hendrik Dowe and won all three rounds at the Tops Arena in Valkenswaard. In the 2023 Top Westphalians ranking list, the gelding finished in 1st place among five-year-old show jumpers!
In 2024, Uglaublich was once again a Bundeschampionat finalist and placed top internationally in Riesenbeck and Valkenswaard and is now already placed at advanced level at just seven years of age!
The Caricco mare Carla, dam of Unicor, was sold to America at the age of six after successfully competing in the Bundeschampionat.
Granddam Quite Lady is a daughter of Quinta Real out of Edekas Connycor, who was placed up to 1.60m with Stefan Eder. Quite Lady produced the licensed stallion Torquino with Tornesch.
The top dam line is characterised by United Touch S, who was Vice Champion of the 5-year-old show jumpers at the Bundeschampionat in 2017 with Hendrik Dowe and has now reached the top of the sport. At the end of 2023, he set another highlight with victory in the Grand Prix of Geneva, an international advanced (5*) level test. In October, he and Richard Vogel were instrumental in the German team’s victory in the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona.
In 2024, United Touch S won the Grand Prix of Wellington, took victory again in the 2024 World Cup show jumping competition in Stuttgart’s Schleyer-Halle after 2022, and played his part in the German team’s successful defence of their title in the Nations Cup Final. His lifetime earnings rose to around 1.5 million euros at the end of 2024.
Conthalou, the sire of Cool Touch, recorded victories in tests for young show jumpers with scores of up to 9.2, including qualifying for the National Championships. He finished his 50-day test with top marks as the second reserve HLP winner. Conthalou’s dam Belinda can boast high placings in international show jumping competitions at the highest level. The performance guarantors Balou du Rouet and Chacco-Blue ensure that Conthalou’s pedigree is optimally rounded off.
In Cool Touch’s pedigree, great successes are firmly anchored in all generations on both sire and dam’s sides. Cool Touch is sure to make many more positive headlines.
