Conthalou - united Touch S

Westphalian · bay · 2021 · Height: 170 cm

Cool Touch

He offers an outstanding pedigree: Cool Touch. But even more telling are the performances he has already delivered. He won his first competition start at the end of January 2025 under saddle with Hendrik Dowe. Shortly afterward, the highly talented youngster was the top scorer in the short suitability test for show jumping in Vechta, achieving an impressive jumping-focused final score of 8.69. The four-year-old son of Conthalou out of a United Touch S dam received a 9.0 for rideability, 8.80 for jumping ability, and 8.70 for willingness to perform.

After that, he took a break from sport and was used for breeding.

Every start a victory—that has been the course of his career so far, and it’s how Cool Touch began the 2026 show season. In his first novice-level (L) show jumping class for young horses, he won with a score of 8.7, ahead of his full sister Cool Lady, who placed second with an 8.5 after having won her own competition debut a week earlier with the same score.

From the very beginning, the stallion has been in high demand among breeders, and his first foals have impressed at first glance, standing out with both style and charm.

Cool Touch made a strong statement as a sire at the Westphalian Spring Auction 2025 in Münster-Handorf. A filly named Cool Kid (Cool Touch – Hickstead White), bred by Josef Ruyter from Rees, sold for €24,000 and became the top-priced foal of the auction.

Another daughter of Cool Touch, out of a For the Future – Couleur Rubin dam and bred by Michael Hölscher, won the foal championship in Emsbüren in 2025.

His dam is the Verband premium mare Unicor. At the age of five, she was a finalist in the Bundeschampionat final with scores of 8.9 and 8.8. She was later sold through the Holger Hetzel auction and has since been based in Switzerland with Alain Jufer. Under the name No Touch, she has now been placed in show jumping competitions up to 1.50 m.

The dam’s full brother, “Unglaublich,” placed third in the final of Hetzel’s Young Horse Championship in 2023 as a five-year-old. With Hendrik Dowe, he was a Bundeschampionat finalist and won all three rounds at the Tops Arena in Valkenswaard. In the 2023 Top Westphalian rankings, the gelding was ranked number one among five-year-old show jumpers.

In 2024, Unglaublich again reached the Bundeschampionat final and achieved top international placings in Riesenbeck and Valkenswaard. In 2025, he became Vice Bundeschampion. By now, he has over 20 wins and placings at advanced (S) level—nationally and internationally up to 1.45 m—at just eight years old.

The Caricco mare Carla, dam of Unicor, was sold to America at the age of six after successfully competing at the Bundeschampionat.

Granddam Quite Lady is a daughter of Quinta Real out of Edeka’s Connycor, who was placed up to 1.60 m with Stefan Eder. Quite Lady also produced the licensed stallion Torquino by Tornesch.

This top dam line is shaped by United Touch S, who was Vice Champion of five-year-old show jumpers at the Bundeschampionat in 2017 with Hendrik Dowe and has since risen to the highest level of the sport. At the end of 2023, he achieved another highlight by winning the Grand Prix of Geneva, an international 5* competition. In October, he played a key role with Richard Vogel in Germany’s victory at the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona.

In 2024, United Touch S won the Grand Prix of Wellington, claimed victory again in the World Cup jumping event in Stuttgart’s Schleyer Hall (after already winning in 2022), and contributed to Germany’s successful title defense at the Nations Cup Final.

His winning streak continued in 2025: in La Coruña (ESP), Richard Vogel and United Touch S won individual gold with nearly perfect rounds and only 0.01 penalty points over five rounds in the final. They also secured bronze with the German team in the team classification.

The year 2026 also began phenomenally, with victory in the 1.60 m Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ competition in Basel (SUI), part of the Western European League 2025/26 series.

Conthalou, the sire of Cool Touch, recorded victories in young horse show jumping classes with scores up to 9.2, including qualification for the Bundeschampionat. He finished his 50-day test with top marks as reserve champion. Conthalou’s dam, Belinda, has achieved high placings in international top-level show jumping. The proven sires Balou du Rouet and Chacco-Blue further strengthen Conthalou’s pedigree.

In the pedigree of Cool Touch, major successes are firmly anchored on both the sire’s and dam’s sides across all generations.

Cool Touch has already made a name for himself in both sport and breeding—and there is much more to come.
