COOL Touch is the name of another new addition for the 2024 breeding season. His lineage is Conthalou – United Touch S. The mother of this three-year-old is the association premium mare Unicor. At five years old, she was a finalist in the Bundeschampionat final and placed 9th there with scores of 8.9 and 8.8 on the final Sunday. It’s no surprise that this impressive performance sparked interest. Through the auction of Holger Hetzel, the mare was sold and today stands in the stable of Alain Jufer in Switzerland.
The full brother of the mother named “Unglaublich” reached the 3rd place in the final at Hetzel’s young horse championship in 2023 at five years old. He was a Bundeschampionat finalist with Hendrik Dowe and finished all three rounds as the winner at the Tops Arena in Valkenswaard.
In the 2023 ranking of the top Westphalians, Unglaublich landed in 1st place among the five-year-old show jumpers with an annual earnings sum of 4,886 euros!
The Caricco mare Carla, mother of Unicor and Unglaublich, was sold to America at six years old after she successfully participated in the Bundeschampionat. Grandmother Quite Lady is a daughter of Quinta Real from Edekas Connycor, who was placed with Stefan Eder up to 1.60m.
Quite Lady produced the approved stallion Torquino with Tornesch.
The top dam line is marked by United Touch S, the Untouched S son, who became vice-champion of the 5-year-old show jumpers at the Bundeschampionat in 2017 with Hendrik Dowe and has now reached the top in major sports. He emphasized this at the end of 2023 with a bang by winning the Grand Prix of Geneva, an international S 5*-competition. In October, he played a significant role in the victory of the German team in the Nations Cup final in Barcelona with Richard Vogel.

After his acclaimed victory at the Oldenburg Show Jumping Horse Breeders’ Association (OS) licensing, Conthalou, the father of COOL TOUCH, completed his 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf with highlights in jumping manner (9.0), ability (9.0), willingness to perform (9.5), rideability (9.0), interior (9.25), and overall impression (9.0). With a total of 8.86, he had to narrowly admit defeat in the strong, 35-strong testing field as the second reserve champion of the performance test.
His father Conthargos produced top horses in series.
28 of his sons were approved, and of his 679 registered sport offspring, 79 excel in class S.
Conthalou’s mother Belinda placed internationally in 1.45 meter show jumping first with Tim Gredley/GBR and then with Joseph Clayton/GBR in 2022.
The performance guarantors Balou du Rouet and Chacco-Blue stand in the subsequent generations and securely back the pedigree of Conthalou.
