ESCAMILLO - VENENO

Hanoverian · bay · 2019 · Height: 170 cm

Description

ESCANENO is a stallion with very special qualities as a riding horse. The stallion, bred by Schult and jointly owned by Klosterhof Medingen and Tobias Schult, has already made this clear several times in his sport tests. This also ensured that Escaneno was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize by the Hanoverian Verband in front of a large audience at this year’s private stallion show in Verden at the beginning of February.
In 2022, the Escamillo son finished his short disposition test with a weighted final score of 9.03 as the top test horse. He received individual scores of 9.0 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8.3 for walk, 9.8 for rideability and 9.5 for his willingness to perform.
In 2023, Escaneno also completed his sport test as the best in the test with a 9.5 for rideability and 9.09 as a weighted final score and in 2024 he delivered the best score for the third time in a row with a final score of 8.97 (trot 8.60, canter 8.50, walk 9.00, rideability 9.50, overall impression 9.00).
At the Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships in Verden in August last year, Escaneno punched his ticket to Warendorf. Under the saddle of Jacob Schenk, the Escamillo son mastered his task in a convincing manner and finished the test in only his third show start in the position of Vice Champion with an overall score of 8.36 in the final and individual scores for trot 8.8, walk 8.5, canter 8.0, scope 8.2 and overall impression 8.3.
This was Escaneno’s second qualification for the BuCha 2024, as he had already punched his ticket to Warendorf at his first show with a score of 8.56 in Neustadt/Dosse in July.
Escaneno and Jacob Schenk took 5th place in the final qualifier for five-year-old dressage horses at the 2024 Bundeschampionat. However, a small slip-up in the final resulted in a point deduction due to being ridden out and cost them a better placing.

ESCANENO is something very special for us in many respects. Both his sire ESCAMILLO and dam’s sire VENENO began their triumphant career as athletes and sires at our stallion station in Hünxe.
And now ESCANENO is writing a new chapter of success. His granddam, St.Pr.St. REINE FREUDE by Ravallo x Frühlingstraum, is already a true guarantee of success for breeding. At the 2021 Herwart von der Decken Show, three of her daughters were honoured as the best mare family – a title that is only awarded every four years – and one of these three mares is VAIANA, the dam of ESCANENO!
The outstanding son of REINE FREUDE is FIDERTANZ, the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2021.
ESCANENO combines so much that is of particular importance to us, but certainly also to horse breeding as a whole. Just how valuable his dam line is can also be seen from the fact that it has produced numerous successful Grand Prix horses – both in dressage and show jumping.
ESCANENO’s first foal crop had already caused a sensation in 2023 with numerous auction foals and top prices at many auctions. His offspring were also in high demand in 2024. This is also evident from the fact that ESCANENO was the sire with the most foals at auction at the foal auctions of the Rhineland Studbook as well as at the 2024 Westphalian Foal Auctions.

There are many good reasons to look to the future with confidence, as the prospects for ESCANENO are excellent both in terms of sport and breeding.
The stallion, who is jointly owned by Tobias Schult and Klosterhof Medingen, will be stationed with us in Hünxe this year!
