ESCAMILLO - VENENO

Escaneno

A stallion with truly exceptional riding horse qualities: ESCANENO. The stallion, bred by the Schult family and jointly owned by Klosterhof Medingen and Tobias Schult, demonstrated this impressively from the very beginning—and confirmed it in 2025 with a 7th place finish in the final of the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

In 2022, the Escamillo son completed his short performance test with a weighted final score of 9.03, finishing as the test winner. His individual scores were 9.0 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8.3 for walk, 9.8 for rideability, and 9.5 for willingness to perform.

In 2023, Escaneno also completed his sport test as the best horse, scoring 9.5 for rideability and a weighted final score of 9.09. In 2024, he achieved top marks for the third time with a final score of 8.97.

At the 2024 Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships, Escaneno secured his ticket to Warendorf. Under saddle with Jacob Schenk, the Escamillo son handled his task convincingly and, at only his third competition appearance, finished as Vice Champion with an overall score of 8.36 in the final.

At the 2024 Bundeschampionat, Escaneno and Jacob Schenk qualified for the final by placing 5th in the qualification round. The stallion was then taken over by Lisa Lindner, and his success story continued. By the end of 2025, he had recorded five wins and three second-place finishes in dressage horse classes up to medium (M) level. The highlight of his 2025 competition season was undoubtedly his successful participation in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, where he placed 7th in the final with Lisa.

He has also been highly successful from a breeding perspective: eight of his sons from his first licensing crop were approved! However, these successes did not come as a surprise, as he impressed from the outset as a sire with outstanding foals, winners at foal shows, and numerous high-priced auction foals across many auction venues.

ESCANENO is something very special for our stallion station in many ways. Both his sire ESCAMILLO and his damsire VENENO began their successful careers as sport horses and sires at the stallion station in Hünxe.

And then there is his dam line: His dam Vaiana represents the crown jewels of the Schult family’s dressage horse breeding. Vaiana was Reserve Champion Mare in Wickrath and was part of the winning family at the Herwart von der Decken Show in Verden in 2019. She is also the dam of Et vou Te, the Escanto PS son from our own breeding. Escaneno’s half-brother is one of the new additions for the 2026 breeding season.

Vaiana is a daughter of none other than the State Premium mare Reine Freude. The Ravallo daughter has achieved immeasurable success for us. She is also the dam of the 2004 NRW Champion Stallion and foundation sire Fidertanz—without whom we would not be where we are today in many respects.

We look back with great pleasure on what Escaneno has achieved so far and with great confidence toward the future—because there is still so much more to come in every respect!
