Description

During the awards ceremony at the DSP Stallion Days 2025, FOR ROMEO received the following commentary:
“This For Romance son was a feast for the eyes in every phase of his presentation. A horse with an unparalleled presence and aura that impresses us anew every single day.”

The 1st Reserve Champion was praised for his exceptional balance in all three basic gaits, his outstanding composure, exemplary willingness to perform, and first-class movement quality. Always uphill in motion, he revealed extraordinary riding horse qualities.

His sire, For Romance I OLD, remains a household name and ranks among the Oldenburg sires who have made history. Under Therese Nilshagen (SWE), he achieved valuable placings in Grand Prix dressage. This champion stallion, main premium winner, Bundeschampionate qualifier, and Burg-Pokal finalist was honored as the VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year 2019.

His sire, Fürst Romancier, placed fourth at both the 2009 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and the Bundeschampionat (5-year-olds) and has produced 35 licensed sons.

The dam’s sire, Floricello, was the 2010 reserve champion at the Oldenburg licensing. The following year, he became vice champion at the Swedish Young Horse Championships, where he also passed his performance test. In Falsterbo, he won the Scandinavian Open. In 2013, he was Vice World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in Verden, receiving dream scores of up to 9.8 for movement, rideability, and potential.

On the dam’s side, FOR ROMEO, who is the spitting image of his sire, also boasts an outstanding pedigree. His granddam, the State Premium Mare Maradonna, a daughter of the legendary sport and breeding icon Donnerhall, has already produced three licensed sons, including none other than Fürstenball OLD, as well as Harmony’s Desiderio (by Desiderio) and Winehouse (by Wynton). Furthermore, she is the dam of the highly successful S-level gelding Baroncello (by Bretton Woods) and Mount St. John VIP (by Vip), a mare also excelling at S-level.

FOR ROMEO, bred by Martin Sieverding (Emstek) and owned by Christa M. Seiler (Ottikon, Switzerland), captivated many from the very first day at the DSP Stallion Days 2025.

Beyond any doubt, his work on the lunge was outstanding—he presented himself with excellent balance, secure contact, and remarkable expression.

During the awards ceremony, moderator Norbert Freistedt stated:
“A great fortune for you, dear dressage horse breeders, that this exceptional young stallion will be available for breeding this year.”

We are very proud to be the stud station providing breeders with this extraordinary young talent.
