Last Saturday, we were able to enjoy a really nice mare and foal show at our facility in Hünxe.
The weather gods were kind to us, everyone was in a great mood and after around six hours, the top placings of the 80 mares and foals competing were decided.
There was only a small starting field of riding horse mares. The four-year-old daughter of For Romance I out of a dam by Lauries Crusador xx bred by Norbert Dückers, Kaarst, gave the best performance and left the arena as the winning mare.
The 3rd edition of our foal show was once again organised in cooperation with the Hanoverian and Westphalian associations. The foals were judged by Katrin Tosberg (Breeding Manager of the Westphalian Studbook), Wilken Treu (Managing Director and Auction Manager of the Hanoverian Verband), Alexander Thoenes (Breeding Manager of the Rhineland Studbook) and Reiner Bockholt (Westphalian breeder).
In the jumping-orientated fillies category, the evaluation committee chose a daughter of Drummer 2000 TN Z out of a dam by Codex One as the winner. Congratulations went to Josef Ruyter from Rees.
In the jumping colts category, we were delighted with the victory of an offspring of one of our station stallions. Untouched Son JPS, the full brother of United Touch S bred by Julius Peter Sinnack, presented his first foal crop. The Untouched Son JPS son out of Conchita (by Con Cento), who was successful in advanced (S) level show jumping with Hendrik Dowe and has already produced top offspring, was awarded the winner’s sash. Hendrik is also responsible for the sporting promotion of Untouched Son JPS and was Vice Bundeschampion of the 5-year-olds with his full brother United Touch S – and now the Untouched S son has a say when it comes to the nomination for the Olympic Games in Paris. The champion colt is also bred by Julius Peter Sinnack from Bocholt.
Our station stallion Escaneno clearly left his mark on our foal show, as the Escamillo son out of a dam by Veneno has by far the most offspring.
Among the fillies, his daughter out of a Vitalis dam, who is extremely strong in movement, took the victory. Congratulations to Bernd Börger from Lennestadt.
In the colt dressage category, Katrin Nelken-Bender from Mülheim was delighted with the 1st reserve winner. Her Escaneno son has Sir Donnerhall I as his dam’s sire.
Not to be beaten on this day was a son of Vitalis out of a dam by Escolar. Vito Valiente, bred by Ute Kuhl from Bocholt, took the victory with a lot of drive and scope.
We would like to thank all the breeders, congratulate them on their successes, are delighted with the numerous guests and hope for a further increase in 2025.
